Garage Band comes as part of the Apple iLife ‘08 standard package and ships with all new Macs. It is far from just a fun programme to mess around with though. If you look a little deeper you will see there are many exciting features only available on much more expensive software applications.
Here are a few links to some software tutorials to get you going and get you thinking about audio possibilities. Things like the wii remote offer some fascinating new ways of making music.
